Meditation
The way I practice and teach meditation has two major influences, one is the vipassana, also known
as insight meditation and the other is more in line with the yogic style. Meditation, just like with everything else is potent when it is tailored to the individual’s nature.
At different times, it seems like we need different potions to work with the energies of the mind. Sometimes strengthening, sometimes centering, and sometimes pacifying or soothing the mind is what is needed to befriend and nourish it.
Research shows that meditation improves overall well-being of the practitioner. Among a myriad of benefits, meditation is known to improve attention, self-awareness, and sleep. In addition, it helps with managing anxiety, pain, and stress. Best of all, we begin to live more skillfully in the world. If you are interested in getting started or deepening your meditation practice, I am happy to design a meditation that supports in building familiarity and abiding from that space within you that is naturally calm.
“When we’re caught in the storm of emotions, we can practice to be like the trunk of the tree. We don’t stay up in the branches. We go down to the trunk and become still, not carried away by our thinking and emotions. We don’t say or do anything; we just focus our attention on our trunk.”

Meditation Session
Meditation sessions are typically half an hour long. During this time, we will discuss what your intentions for a meditation practice are. I will then devise and teach you a meditation that is supportive and nourishing for you. Subsequent sessions can be scheduled at intervals that best suit your practice and unfolding.
