Here’s How I Can Help

Psychotherapy

Psychotherapy paves way for increased self-awareness and growth. By integrating body awareness in the here and now, we’ll uncover patterns and barriers that are holding you back. In a supportive space, we’ll explore your potential, and learn how to navigate life with clarity.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga therapy, rooted in the Viniyoga tradition, is a time-tested way to address your unique needs. As an internationally certified yoga therapist, I bring years of study and over 1,000 hours of training to support your well-being. Together, we’ll use yoga’s wisdom to promote healing and balance.

Meditation

Meditation helps you gain clarity, balance, and self-awareness by addressing your current mind states. Drawing from vipassana and yogic traditions, I tailor practices to soothe, center, or strengthen the mind. Together, we’ll learn to nurture inner calm that supports your well-being.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yoga therapy is yoga designed specifically for you. This practice will challenge you just the right amount, offering support and direction so you can experience balance and a sense of peace in all areas of life. For example, if your goal is to reduce shoulder pain, a yoga therapy practice can not only help alleviate the pain but also strengthen the area.

  • Yoga Therapy is different from a regular yoga class because your needs and capacities are integrated into designing your practice. When you engage in this tailored practice, it benefits you much more. It’s like getting to your destination faster by avoiding traffic.

  • Yoga therapy often has a ripple effect, when you practice specific postures while breathing a certain way – linking movement with breath, the mind tends to settle. This is because you are directing the mind to focus on something. As the mind becomes calmer, you will experience more spaciousness. In other words, when your system gets a taste of this balance it will begin to operate differently.

  • Therapy is an inward journey, as you learn your inner landscape you will have more clarity about your thoughts, beliefs, and emotions. If you plan to work on something deep, it takes time and effort. My hope for you is that you will also end up feeling more connected to life and with yourself.

  • A short answer to this question is, there will be questions, explorations, and discussions during the sessions. The process can sometimes feel uncomfortable. Discomfort is only indicating that there is more room for growth. We will set parameters regarding how deeply and quickly you want to address your concerns. These parameters are likely to change over time. As you learn more about yourself in therapy, you will develop the skills to manage your unique situation more effectively.

  • In my opinion, therapy is worth trying to address in what way your specific problem is bothering you or affecting your life. However, it’s important to approach therapy with an open mind and a willingness to change. Clarifying your motivation and being open to finding a resolution can significantly improve your experience.
